THREE CALLIGRAPHIC PANELS ONE SIGNED MUHAMMAD SHARIF, SAFAVID IRAN, LATE 16TH/EARLY 17TH CENTURY Comprising of panel of horizontal format with a line of elegant black nasta'liq script within gold foliage, on gold-speckled paper, signed Muhammad Sharif in the lower right corner, laid down on card with marbled paper borders; and a double-sided panel with two nasta'liq quatrains on finely illuminated floral ground, one on blue paper, the other on cream paper, laid down between gold illuminated floral borders, the mount probably Indian, with an illegible Ottoman seal impression The largest 10.3/8 x 6.1/4in. (26.3 x 15.8cm.)
