Engraved title page spotted and soiled, ex libris inscription to A2r, additional manuscript encomium of Nicholas Rhedinger, praising Ortelius as Father of the World to A1v, light spotting to opening text leaves, wide margins, with typescript key to Introduction and Catalogue of Geographers. A well preserved opening fragment from Ortelius’ 1595 atlas of the world, with two of the most desirable maps from that edition in pristine state. See illustration.
