Beschreibung:

The MGB was launched in May 1962 to replace the MGA. Introduced as a four-cylinder roadster, a coupé with 2+2 seating was added in 1965 with production continuing until October 1980. The GT sported a ground-breaking design by Pininfarina with the launch of its fastback styling. By combining the sloping rear window with the rear deck lid, the GT offered the utility of a hatchback whilst retaining the style and shape of a coupé. Acceleration of the GT was slightly slower than that of the Roadster due to its increased weight although top speed was improved by 5mph to 105mph due to better aerodynamics. Originally registered on 6 th April 1966, this MGB GT has had three former keepers and has covered a mere 26,530 miles during its 50 years on the road. The British Racing Green paintwork is in very good order and the black leather trim is original with a delightful patina. A comprehensive history file accompanies this MG dating back to 1972 although the main bulk of this history file is made up post 1985. There is a collection of 30 previous MoT test certificates confirming the mileage of 26,530 to be genuine. Accompanying the history file is a Heritage Certificate confirming the car remains in its original condition except for a glass sunroof. This delightful MGB GT drives as good as she looks and is an extremely fine example of its type.
