Beschreibung:

The Lotus Seven is a small, simple, lightweight two-seater open sports car produced between 1957 and 1972. It was designed by F1 supremo, Colin Chapman, and has been considered the embodiment of the Lotus philosophy of performance through low weight and simplicity. The original model was highly successful and was a big hit with the club racing scene. Caterham later bought the rights to make both kits and fully assembled cars based on the original design and the company ethos has never been more healthy. There is minimal bodywork to these cars and this example appears to have been set up for the circuit with four-point Luke harnesses, roll-over bar and battery cut-out switch. The fibreglass wings are serviceable but well chipped and possibly original. The aluminium tub and bonnet are in perfectly good condition although it does also show light stone marks and scratches. The tyres are Yokohama performance items and the engine is a twin-cam Lotus unit with twin Weber carburettors. The interior seating appears to be in good order and given the scarcity of these early examples, this supplies huge grin factor and historical significance in one very well designed package.
