TAYLOR 1970 Taylor 1970 u. 1bn, 4vts, 4ts, 1t/hs, 9 chipped and partially missing wax capsules, soiled and scuffed labels, 1 partially torn label, wine comes from 3 different importers with 3 different style labels, all bottled by Taylor's Deep, almost crimson colour, astonishing for its age. A real floral/violets scent, lingering and alluring. A phenomenal contrast to the style of 1966. Cherries and liquorice on the nose too. All-enveloping, highly black liquorice taste. Great concentration and body on the palate. Alcoholic dates! Sweet/ripe maraschino cherries at the end. Tastes younger than the 1977! I see a comparison with the 1997 - a hot year and superb wine.
