A fine and rare 18K pink gold skeletonized openface quarter repeating keywound watch with three jaquemarts Unsigned, cuvette bearing the signature Berthoud, No. 17'192, circa 1820 Full plate gilt-finished movement, engraved and pierced balance cock, plain three arm steel balance, gilt cuvette, the skeletonized dial centred by a small enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals, the skeletonized surround surmounted by a vari-coloured gilt scene depicting two standing figures striking the bells and one small scene depicting a smith forging a bar on an anvil, all apparently in unison with the repeating, circular engine-turned case, a small circular blank cartouche to the back, repeating through the pendant, pendant locking lever in the band, cuvette bearing the signature Berthoud and numbered, case stamped FLP and numbered 57 mm. diam.
