Lot of 34 stereoviews featuring views of China, especially the Boxer Rebellion. Includes several views of the Battle of Tientsin (Tianjin) on July 13-14, 1900, in which an 8-nation alliance defeated the Chinese Imperial Army and Boxers in order to rescue foreign nationals within the city. The pivotal battle gave the Alliance a base of operations to capture Beijing (Peking) on August 14-15. Also includes non-war views of China, images of Chinese in California and Washington State, Spanish-American War images, and an interesting view in Hawaii, possibly during annexation.
