At the time of cataloguing no other issued example known, with only a handful of specimen notes known, that were printed by American Bank Note Company. Schwan/Boling mentions a possibility that these notes were used by business people entering Japan and Germany. At the bottom of the note it is stated ''FOR USE ONLY IN SEAMEN'S OVERSEAS SERVICE BRANCHES AND OTHER AUTHORIZED ESTABLISHMENTS'' However, there is no information about the Seamen's service readily available, rare and interesting.
