Later half red morocco, spine gilt in six compartments, lettered in two, the rest with bird tool, g.e. FIRST EDITION of Sclater's comprehensive monograph, originally published in seven parts. Sclater gives detailed descriptions of 62 species of Jacamar and Puff-Bird, as well as a general account of the two families and an extensive bibliography. 60 of the species are featured in Keulemans's "beautiful plates" (Anker).
