SCHOPPER, Hartmann. De omnibus illiberalibus sive Mechanicis artibus. Frankfurt-am-Main: Georg Rabe (Corvinus) for Sigismund Carl Feyerabend, 1574. 8° (152 x 93mm). Greek text on A7v-8r. Printer's devices on title (repeated on final recto) and on last page. 132 woodcut illustrations by Jost Amman (Title slightly soiled, a few minor stains.) Early 20th-century vellum over paper boards by R. Jackson, red leather spine label, t.e.g. Second edition in Latin, with the full series of fine WOODCUTS BY JOST AMMAN depicting the professions and trades: printer, clockmaker, goldsmith, tailer, barber, potter, et al . The Latin editions (1568 and 1574) contain additional woodcuts, 18 more than are found in the German editions of the same years. The apothecary cut has been replaced in the present edition. Adams S-703; Lipperheide Pa 5; Colas 112.
