London: Plummer and Brewis, 1829. 8vo, full morocco presentation binding, covers with gilt-ruled borders surrounding gilt cornerpieces, spine gilt, board edges and turn-ins gilt, white watered silk doublures and free endpages, g.e., stamp-signed by the binders on upper turn-in: "Bound by Hering," joints and edges rubbed; endpapers a little foxed. QUEEN ADELAIDE'S COPY, signed on the title-page, by the consort of William IV, ("Adelaide"). On the front flyleaf verso is an unsigned autograph note, possibly by the translator, regarding typographical errors and the too liberal use of italics by the printer.
