Finely-bound in contemporary dark blue morocco gilt by Mudie, spine elaborately gilt in compartments (extremities lightly rubbed, some light scratching, a few scuff marks to lower cover). With 4 other works of related interest in 9 volumes including Augustus Welby Pugin's An Apology for the Revival of Christian Architecture in England (London, 1843, original cloth, some leaves detaching), the same author's The True Principles of Pointed or Christian Architecture (London, 1853, original cloth) and Francis Orpen Morris's A Series of Picturesque Views of Seats of the Noblemen and Gentlemen of Great Britain and Ireland (London, [n.d.], vols.
