Lot of 20 real photo postcards with images of families and children comprising various musical ensembles. In one photograph, five children pose on a bench outside of the Dragon Bottling Works, San Antonio, TX. Thee play stringed instruments, while the clarinetist appears slightly distressed. Some cards feature animals, including a dog seated on a chair with five children, as well as another dog and two cows pictured with two saxophone players, with "Saxophone Field Day / Gerber, Calif / Aug 20 & 21, 1927" written in the negative. Also featured is an unusually composed image from Racine, WI of a musical performance from the travelling circuit Chautauqua popular in the early twentieth century. Inside a tent adorned with the American flag, a violinist and pianist play onstage, with "Racine CHAUTAUQUA '06 / 332 / BISHOP" written in the negative.
