(8 3/8 x 5 9/16in.); together 6 vols., 8vo, uniformly bound in green crushed levant morocco, covers with gilt fillet border enclosing a line panel with wavy line corners and clusters of a repeated Tudor rose tool at top and bottom; spines in six compartments with five raised bands, gilt lettered in two compartments, a Tudor rose and leaf panel in the rest, board edges with double gilt fillet, turn-ins gilt, marbled endpapers, g.e., stamp-signed by the binders on each upper turn-in, EXTRA ILLUSTRATED with a profusion of engraved portraits, plain and colored engraved views and some modern colorplates.
