Werner Rolewinck Fasciculus temporum. Venice: Erhard Ratdolt 28 May 1484 Chancery folio (303 x 198mm.), 73 leaves (of 74), [* a-g8 h10], double column, gothic type, white-on-black woodcut initials, woodcut illustrations, early nineteenth-century straight-grained red morocco gilt with the crowned monogram CF on upper cover and arms of Savoy on lower cover, flat spine gilt, later slipcase, lacking first leaf with dedication (supplied in facsimile), occasional light staining The binding for the duke of Savoy was executed in the Bottega dei Regi Archivi in Turin; a very similar binding, for Charles's sister-in-law Maria Theresa, is recorded in Malaguzzi, De libris compactis IX. Torino (Turin, 2013), plate 110, dated to 1816, located in the Biblioteca antica dell'Archivio di stato.
