By Manfred Wild Idar-Oberstein, Germany Known for his "egg creations" Manfred Wild has now produced more of the fantastic lapidary works than Fabergé himself. The present virtuoso work comprises a rock crystal egg, which is carved and set with 58 emerald cabochons, weighing approximately 6.67 carats. With the aid of the push button top, the egg opens into two halves to reveal two pigs seated on a cushion carved from a high quality single crystal of bi-color beryl (morganite and green beryl), the total carats weight approximately 1150 carats, with diamond-set eyes, and accents of red enamel on 18K gold. Total gold weight approximately 330 grams. Raised on a removable black obsidian base. Signed with monogram EB for Emil Becker and M. Wild. Height with base 340mm, height without base 290 mm.
