Revenues valuable and all-encompasing collection of many thousands of stamps mounted on quadrilled pages in four large albums that we are offering intact as received, much of the value lies in the first album which starts with strong First Issues including a number of rarities and five essays, highlights include #R2c, R3b, R6e, R11a, R13a, R13b, R15b, R16b, R17c, R19a, R21c, R32b, R33a, R34b, R36a, R43a, R49b, R50a pair, R50b, R51a, R56b, R57b, R58b, R61c, R62b, R63a, R64a, R65a, R65b, R74a, R74c, R75a, R76a, R77a with large margins (corner crease), R79a top sheet-margin single with the other margins large, R79c, R80c (3), R81a, R82a, R86a, R88a, R90a, R91a, R92a, R94a, R95a, R97c, R98a, R98c (2), R100a, R100c, R101a, R101c and R102c, with some duplication for shades or handstamped cancels and we have not checked for silk papers, it is possible that a few imperfs. and part perfs. may be altered, but we don't see this as a big problem here, the collection continues with Second Issue complete to $50.00, plus a 50c with inverted center, Third Issue complete to $10.00 and both 2c inverted centers, later issues include R160 (2), R163b top margin vertical strip of three, R180 and weak Reds with values only to $10.00, the Proprietary issues include RB5a, RB5b, RB6b, RB8b, RB11c, RB12c, RB13c, RB15c (2), RB16a, RB18c, RB19b mint and RB43, next comes Future Delivery, Stock Transfer with Greens only to $10.00 value, Wines, Playing Cards, Silver Tax, Consular Service with RK1-6, RK8-9, RK11, RK21a, RK22, RK26 and RK32-40 and Customs complete, the Private Die Proprietary section is extensive and has not been checked for experimental silk papers, here we note RO5, RO19b, RO25b (2), RO37b, RO60a, RO61b, RO76a, RO81a, RO94a, RO100a mint, RO107a, RO131a, RO137a, RO159 five trial color proofs, RO165a, RS46a, RS61a, RS65a, RS73a, RS84a, RS129b, RS177d, RS178a, RS246a, RT25b, RT30c and others, next come Hunting Permits, Telegraph stamps, Narcotic, some Cinderella material, Possessions revenues, mostly Cuba and Philippines, a strong showing of Beer stamps with numerous better items such as REA15c, REA36 and REA100A just to mention a few, Cigarette and Cigar tax stamps, and that is just the first volume, the second volume contains the continuation of Cigar stamps, Snuff, strong Tobacco and every imaginable kind of Springer listed Tax Paids including Lock Seals, the last two volumes are all State Revenues of various kinds, condition is mixed as is typical of such a collection, however much fine-very fine can be found and the collector generally avoided cut cancels; an impressive collection formed decades ago that is well deserving of the prolonged viewing that will be required to make a proper evaluation.
