RARE LINCOLN FUNERAL CARRIAGE CDV AND 65 OTHER CIVIL WAR PERIOD CDV’S.

Comprising a horizontal CDV view of President Lincoln’s funeral carriage sprouting ostrich feather plums near the Ohio State House. Hitched to a team of six white horses, the casket removed from the bier emblazoned with the name LINCOLN and surrounded by soldiers and onlookers. Backs stamp of REEVE & WATTS, Columbus, Ohio. Together with a period leather covered family album containing 44 gilt-tipped pages each  page cut with two openings and containing 60 various(civilian) CDV’s with various backstamps including Columbus, Ohio, Rochester New York, Scranton, PA, Clinton, Iowa. Mostly Civil War period dress and some ID’d on verso. Also including two photogravure CDV’s of Lincoln, one of Gen McClellan, one of Tum Thumb in Naval attire. Together with a CDV “Our Peace Commissioners for 1865” being a collage depicting images of Lincoln, Grant, Sheridan, Sherman, Porter, Farragut, and Thomas. Additionally a CDV with full length depiction of Union Jr. Grade officer with kepi, belt, sash, sword, gloves (Chicago backstamp), and a quarter plate tintype of a standing female (circa 1870) uncased
