Engraved plan and 47 engraved plates by and after Dionisio Moretti with Quadri's 'A.Q.' blindstamps. (Occasional light spotting or marking, a few short marginal tears.) [ Bound with :] A. QUADRI. La Piazza di San Marco in Venezia considerata come monumento d'arte e di storia . Venice: Tipografia di Commercio, 1831. Quadri's monogram authentification inkstamp on verso of title. Engraved plan and 15 engraved plates by and after Morretti with Quadri's 'A.Q.' blindstamp. (Occasional light spotting or marking, principally affecting text, a few short marginal tears.) 2 works bound in one volume, oblong 2°(290 x 430mm). Contemporary speckled roan-backed, paper-covered boards, spine gilt (rubbed, boards affected by damp, small chips and tears to spine causing minor losses, lacking lettering-piece, hinges splitting). Provenance : title of first work amended in an early hand from 'LX' to '48 tavole' -- early manuscript pressmark -- inkstamp with initials 'E. St.' beneath crown on title of first work. FIRST EDITIONS. CRISP COPIES OF QUADRI'S TWO WORKS, the first of which presents two panoramas depicting the waterfronts of both banks of the Canal Grande in a series of 47 plates (the title incorrectly calls for 60; the work is complete with the plan and 47 plates, as stated in the bibliography of Quadri's works at the end of the second work), and the second of which similarly depicts the architecture of St Mark's Square accompanied by descriptions. Graesse V, p.518 (both works; incorrectly describing the first as containing 60 plates).
