Property from the Masterworks of Time CollectionSwissA gold open-faced two-train lever watch with independent centre secondsCirca 1840 • Movement: gilded two-train, lever escapement, 23 jewels, bi-metallic compensation balance• Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute ring, gold moon hands, blued steel centre seconds• Case: gold with engine-turned back, chased and engraved bezels and pendant, milled band with stop slide beneath 6 o'clock, gilt-metal cuvette, case stamped IN incuse and numbered 4883, 6344diameter 50mmCondition reportMovement: going train running, centre seconds not operating and its train appears to be fully wound. Stop slide moves but is not activating the seconds. Dial: with several small hairlines and a chip to the base of the dial below 5 and 6 o'clock, light scratch between 9 and 10 o'clock. otherwise appears to be ok. Case: engine turning to back very rubbed, especially towards the edges where some of the decoration has worn away, some indentations at the edge of the back.
