The building with the curved facade is the Kinopalæet, a cinema with seating for 1,200 spectators built 1918. It was bombed (counter-sabotage) during the German occupation (World War II), rebuilt and later demolished, presumably in 1957. Codanhus is now located just behind, where the cinema once stood. The place is reproduced in: “København før og nu - og aldrig”, 1991, vol 12 (Frederiksberg) p. 76.
