PABLO PICASSO Luis de Góngora y Argote, Vingt poèmes , Les Grands Peintres modernes et le Livre, Paris, 1948 (B. 476-516; Ba. 738-78; C. books 51) the complete set of 41 unsigned etchings and aquatints, in- and hors-texte , title page, text in French, and justification, on Marais watermark Gongora , copy 91 of 250 (there were also 25 hors commerce copies), the full sheets with gilt deckle edges, original greenish Auvergne wrappers, offsetting, otherwise in very good condition, binding by THÉRÈSE MONCEY in black crushed morocco and suède, signed on the lower turn-in of the upper board and on the lower edge of the slipcase, noted 'cochet doreur' on the lower turn-in of the back board, the author's name in gilt stamped lettering on the spine, the cover with embossing pattern and collaged suède design, black suède endleaves, half black morocco and black decorative paper chemise with author's and artist's name in gilt stamped lettering on the spine (minor wear), decorative black paper slipcase with black morocco edges (some wear, loss). 392 x 302 mm.
