3rd plate, 1st state, world map within elaborate strapwork border incorporating title banner above, and medallions with quotations from Cicero and Seneca in corners, engraved map with full hand-colouring, 360 x 490mm., Latin text verso, central vertical fold and a very soft horizontal fold, some browning in wide margins, with three tears at sheet edges, all well outside the plate, [vdB 3], [Antwerp], dated 1587, 1592 or later.
