On Her Majesty's Secret Service, 1969 Peter Hunt's two shooting scripts for On Her Majesty's Secret Service , both dated 5th September, 1968, both with 145pp. of mimeographed typescript, one script bound with red boards, the other with black, the majority of pages in both scripts annotated in blue or black ballpoint pen in Hunt's hand with his notes on camera directions, observations, additions and deletions to the scenes and script - the amendments to Bond's dialogue are almost identical in both scripts and include: - p.7 - the emergence of the key line, which was skillfully devised to introduce the new Bond, is witnessed when comparing the two scripts, in the scene set on the beach, after 007 had dispensed with Draco's henchmen and Tracy had run away, Lazenby is heard to make a reference to his predecessor in the role, the black bound script gives the final version: Bond: This never happened to the other fellow... , the red bound script with a slight variation ...This never happened to Sean Connery... , with Sean Connery scored out and replaced with ...The other fellow - p.29, in Draco's office, black bound script, Bond: You overestimate me, Draco... - p.109, in Tracy's Cougar, black bound script, Bond: Giving Up Bad Habits... - p.117, in the barn with Tracy, black bound script, Bond: Will you marry me? substitues the initial proposal ...Where shall we spend our honeymoon, Mrs. Bond... ; accompanied by a file of correspondence relating to the production, including: - a quantity of memos from Francis Winikus or Charles Berman Hunt and others, some on On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Eon Productions Ltd or United Artists Corporation Ltd headed stationery regarding press interviews, meetings etc; - 18 biographies on On Her Majesty's Secret Service headed stationery including Peter Hunt George Lazenby, Diana Rigg and Telly Savalas; - a quantity of briefs, press releases and synopses on On Her Majesty's Secret Service headed stationery; - three black and white photographs of Hunt with Cubby Broccoli, Harry Saltzman and others, largest -- 12x15½in. (30.5x39.5cm.) all framed; and - a reproduction of a black and white cartoon depicting Hunt in a bobsled shooting at George Lazenby -- 8x9in. (20.3x22.8cm.) framed; and related material (a lot)
