This was after the success of the limited release Centenary watch in 1948 to celebrate 100 years of Omega. The Constellation became Omega's flagship model and was available in steel, gold and rare examples of platinum. A number of dial variants were available and the most popular being the twelve side 'pie pan' dial. The reverse of the case is engraved with iconic observatory and eight stars. This example also comes with a 'hidden' crown.
