High condition American made Smith & Wesson Model 76 machine gun with “U” prefix serial number. Initial “T” prefix guns were the very first manufactured, and some of these went to the U.S. Navy for use during the Vietnam conflict. The later “U” prefix serial number guns were for whoever would purchase them, which was primarily targeted for law enforcement and the civilian market. These guns exhibit the highest standards of fit and finish. This is a select-fire machine gun with an ambidextrous safety/selector, smooth black hard composite pistol grip with swing-out rubber covered shoulder loop. This is a very comfortable gun to fire and is a very popular “first” machine gun as it is ergonomic and controllable as well as accurate. One 36-round original magazine is included with this gun. This gun is easily disassembled for cleaning, with good durability, and relatively inexpensive to shoot. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original matte blue finish with only the slightest handling marks. Bore is near excellent, shiny, and bright. Bolt face also near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
