Guy Bardone (1927-2015) was one of the most important members of the French New Figurative Art. He studied with the master Maurice Bianchon, Jules Cavailles, and François Desnoyer at the Ecole National Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. In 1953, Bardone exposed in group exhibitions, such as Celebrities and Revelations of Contemporary Painting, at the Musée Galliera in Paris. In 1954, he exhibited at the Ecole de Paris Exhibition in Galerie Charpentier. He won some important awards, including the prize of Félix Fénéon in 1952 and the prize of the Greenshields Foundation in 1957.
