London: M.S. for Henry Overton, 1645. 4° (184 x 133mm). Title with typographical border. 22ll. Red morocco gilt. FIRST EDITION. Wing F-23. MARSHALL, Stephen (1594?-1655). The Churches Lamentation for the Good Man's Losse ... delivered in a sermon .. at the funerall of ... John Pym . London: Stephen Bowtell, 1644. 4° (175 x 129mm). 18ll. including the engraved frontispiece portrait. Title with typographical border. (E1 holed affecting 2 lines.) Modern calf. FIRST OF TWO ISSUES. Wing M-793. HOOKER, Thomas (1586?-1647). The faithful covenanter. A sermon preached at the lecture in Dedham in Essex . London: Christopher Meredith, 1644. 4° (188 x 132mm). Provenance : ownership inscription of Will. Dowsing (possibly the iconoclast, active in Suffolk and Cambs in 1644 -- see DNB), with some MS notes apparently in his hand. FIRST EDITION. Wing H-2648. RAINBOWE, Edward (1608-84). A sermon at the funeral of Susanna Countess of Suffolke . London: W. Wilson for Gabriell Bedell, 1649. 4° (184 x 132mm). 19ll. Modern half morocco. FIRST EDITION. Wing R-141. POYNTZ, John, alias Morrice. The case of John Poyntz alias Morris, a poore distressed starving prisoner in the Upper Bench. [London, 3 June 1651] 4° (180 x 128mm). 8ll. NOT IN WING (a different pamphlet from P-3131D). This work bound in one volume with 15 other pamphlets of the same period, many by Stephen Marshall; together with two 18th century pamphlets, one owned by Charles Clark (1806-80), the Essex antiquary and printer.
