MEDIEVAL SELJUK DECORATED BRONZE THREE PART LAMP STAND Circa 13th-14th century AD. A cast portable oil lamp stand in three parts; the circular base supported on three out-turned legs with incised ornament and pierced band; the openwork stem square in section, with pierced sphere at top and bottom and flared ends; the circular top tray with shallow recess to receive a lamp, the rim with six rectangular piercings; the three parts with lugs and mortises to lock the parts together. Bronze, 2.8 kg, 62 cm. Very fine condition and complete. [3] Provenance Acquired on the London art market in the 1960's.
