Large folio, consisting of eighteen heavy card leaves containing pen-and-ink and pencil drawings, multi-color ink calligraphic designs, vignettes, delicate watercolors of flowers, cherubs, portraits of women and children, illustrated songs and poems, historical scenes that resemble book illustration, and many romantic scenes of lovers talking closely, and dancing at formal dances, a composite with five inset depictions of children, pencil landscapes, cityscapes, and others titled (in Hungarian), "Memories," "Summer Pictures," "Spring," and so on; the drawings themselves seem professional, and not the work of an amateur, the album bound in a high-relief olive book cloth-covered boards gilt with geometrical decoration and insets of tan, black, and red leather, beveled boards, with gilt-printed patterned fabric flyleaves and pastedowns; nicely preserved, some offsetting to contents, two drawings by the same hand inserted, 15 1/4 x 11 3/4 in.
