This superbly illustrated work describes the wedding of Philip V (1683-1746), King of Spain, and Elizabeth Farnese of Parma (1692-1766) in 1714, celebrated in Parma cathedral. The first plate shows the cortege of the bridegroom and Cardinal Gozzadini entering Parma; the two following plates show the lavish temporary decorations inside the cathedral; the fourth shows the wedding ceremony and the final plate shows a ground plan of Parma cathedral.
