Lot consists of: (A) World War II US M1 Front Seam Fixed Bale Helmet with painted "II" on the front. Helmet has heat stamp "615A" on the interior of the shell denoting a McCord contract shell. Liner is marked with the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company "F" stamp. CONDITION: Helmet shell still retains most of its original paint but displays blemishes from service wear. There are various scratches and scuffs from service wear. The canvas chin strap is in very good condition and shows no signs of fraying. Liner retains about 50% of its original paint and there is a pen cap size hole going through the top. Hardware is still in tact but is fraying and tarnished. Overall good condition. (B) World War II M1 Front Seam Fixed Bale Helmet with painted "II" insignia and bullet dent on the front. The heat stamp is obscured due to the condition but appears to be "689A" denoting a McCord contract shell. Liner is marked with the Mine Safety Appliance Company "MSA" stamp. CONDITION: Helmet shell still retains some of its original paint but displays blemishes from service wear. The helmet has two golf ball sized dents on the top of the shell. Canvas chin strap is in good condition and shows little signs of fraying. The "II" symbol on the shell is mostly gone due to the bullet dent. Liner appears to have never been painted OD Green and has rivets that were painted white. Liner no longer has its original hardware. Overall fair condition. Name Value Paperwork
