LOT OF 2: CAST IRON CIGAR CUTTERS.

Schätzpreis
800 $ - 1.600 $
Zuschlagspreis:
n. a.
Beschreibung:

This lot of two cast iron cigar cutters consists of a cutter manufactured by the Erie Specialty Co., advertising J. U. Divilbiss & Co. cigars, Canton, Illinois. A beautiful cast iron casting with a unique feature, that when the lever is pressed in the front, the advertising in the window changes. Fully operational and in all original condition, showing some areas of plating loss as well as plate loss to the raised advertising on the front panel. The second cutter is an Odd or Even cigar cutter, a bit of a gambling device that was used in bars, where the patron would bet on an odd or even number, spin the dial, could cut their cigars and hopefully win a beer or cigar with their gamble. This cigar cutter is cast iron and has been fully re-plated and mounted to a new wooden base. Proceeds from the sale of this lot are being donated by the consignor to the Fayette Regional Humane Society in Washington Court House OH. Condition: (Very Good - Restored). Item Dimensions: Largest: 8" x 6 - 3/4" x 4".
