Title: Lot of 14 Bukowski tapes and LP records Author: ** Place: Various places Publisher: Date: 1970-88 Description: With: 6 LP spoken word albums of Bukowski, each with original pictorial card-stock covers & interior paper sleeves. Contains: Cold Turkey Press / Klacto Present (with 10 authors represented: Bukowski, Ginsberg, DiPrima, Bremser, Sanders, Wieners, Giorno, etc.), edited by Gerard Belart & Carl Weissner, Holland, 1972; 90 Minutes in Hell, 2 record set, Earth Books, 1977; Hello. It’s good to be back, with original large folding pictorial poster present, Carl Weissner, Hamberg, 1978; Gotz George Liest, signed by Bukowski on the cover Philips, 1979; Neighborhood Rhythms, 2 record set, with music & poetry, Freeway Records 1984; and Hostage, still in shrink wrap, Rhine Records, 1985. * 4 VHS tape items: The Charles Bukowski Tapes, 2 VHS tapes inside original double size case, produced & directed by Barbet Schroeder for Les Film du Losange, distributed by Lagoon Video (Santa Monica), with 52 total poems / readings, 120 minutes on each tape, [c.1984]; hand titled on recorded Fuji T-120 VHS tape "Bukowski 1972" inside folding case; Poetry in Motion a film by Ron Mann (performances by Bukowski, Jim Carroll, Amiri Baraka (LeRoi Jones), Gary Snyder, John Cage Ed Sanders, Ginsberg, Waldman, Burroughs, Tom Waits, Creeley, DiPrima, Ondaatje, Giorno, etc.), 90 mins. VHS tape inside original folding case with paper cover, Voyager Press, 1985; "Bukowski at Bellevue, Spring 1970," 60 mins. VHS tape inside folding case with paper label, sealed with golden sticker, Black Sparrow, 1988. * 4 cassette tapes, recorded from unknown original sources with inked or typed labels: Bukowski reading for Nola Express, 1970 (2 different issues); Bukowski at the Golden Bear, Holloween 1975; and 1 other stamped only “Assembled in Mexico.” Presumably in working order (not tested by cataloguer), 3 in folding cases. Together, 14 audio / video recording items. Bukowski's voice and images, recorded. Lot Amendments Condition: Records all appear in fine working order with no major flaws or scratches (some expected edge wear to card cases), else near fine to fine. Item number: 180971
