Lot of 11 photographs, including: a cabinet card with the backmark of Turner Falls, Massachusetts, photographers A.W. Howes & Co., showing employees posed outside of the Connolly, McAuslan & Forbes store, with bolts of fabric and corsets visible in the display windows; a W.H. Reed of Lewiston, Minnesota cabinet card of a small inn named the Holden House; a ca 1888 cabinet card by Pittsburgh photographers Thackeray & Kraeling, bearing their full card printed backmark, showing the Frank P. Conn trunk and saddle store, with several fine examples of each visible beside the tophatted proprietor; a cabinet card by another of Thackeray's Pittsburgh partnerships, Thackeray & Countryman, showing a restaurant/boarding house with several posters in the window advertising shows at the Grand Opera House and a sign offering Boarding by the Week, Day, or Meal; a boudoir card photograph (5.25" x 8.5") with the verso hand stamp of Red Key, Indiana, photographer T.W. Shesler, showing his rather large studio, which features an impressive glass skylight; a Maroin & Van boudoir photograph of an ornate downtown building with window signs for law, life insurance, and real estate businesses, as well as a bronze goods, hardware, and paint store next door; an anonymous boudoir photograph of Jacob Schaub Meat Market and Munt & Zuleff Fish, Fruit, Oysters, & Vegetables, which we found to be active in South Norwalk, Connecticut, ca 1880; an anonymous silver gelatin photograph of Fobes' Dry Goods Store, inked on the 6.25" x 8.25" mount F.A. Fobes and Store, Barberton, Ohio.; a 4.5" x 7.5" photograph, mounted to 8" x 10", showing the storefront of Edward J. Bosworth, Printer., with the verso hand stamp of the Big Four View Co. of Rochester, New York; an anonymous 7.5" x 9.5" silver print, ink dated at lower right 5-18-25 and mounted on buckram cut to the same size, showing a bowling alley/billiard hall; and an 8" x 10" photograph of the busy corner of Wabash and Illinois Sts. in Indianapolis, indexed and dated in the negative at lower left 42536 Photo by W.H.
