Lacking dust-jacket; gilt lettering on spine dulled, very light toning towards margins in text. . "One of the chief honors gained by back-trailing was the friendship of Theodore Roosevelt, a friendship shared by Julian Street," inscribed by Garland on the half-title. Julian Street (1879-1947) was an American author, reporter, and friend of Theodore Roosevelt, writing a biography of him in 1915, "The Most Interesting American."
