A wonderful collection of San Francisco scenes in the years and decades preceding the 1906 earthquake, includes several copy photographs of 1850s scenes by Fardon, most appear to be early 20th century copy photographs of 19th century images. Many produced by T.E. Hecht, with his studio name in the negative. Includes miscellaneous street scenes, views from hill tops, a few images of the celebration for California soldiers returning from the Philippines, President Theodore Roosevelt's visit to San Francisco, also a few photographs of early illustrations of San Francisco.
