One is painted with two large and one small cranes, supplemented by pine and waterfall, the other is painted with lotus and waterfowl. Both signed with “Tan Xue Tu“ and sealed in the lower right corner. Well preserved, the silk is slightly yellowed. Kano Tansetsu was an artist of the Edo period, his father was the famous Edo painter Kano Tanyu. His family fully borrowed Chinese painting techniques and influenced the Japanese painting for many years. Provenienz: From a private collection in the Ruhr area.
