Disbound, with loose sheets of textblock laid into a folding case that has been fabricated out of the original Islamic binding, much of the original leather retained, with new leather strap. Not collated correctly: many of the disbound leaves are oriented in the wrong direction (with the gutter margin on the outside).

Contemporary Islamic full olive-green calf, inlaid red arabesque within vertical gilt roll on center of each cover, gilt-rolled borders with gilt corner ornaments, overlying flap decorated in a similar fashion with inlaid red arabesque, gilt rolls and ornaments, fore-edge flap gilt, smooth spine plain. Consists of quotations from the Koran followed by discussions of what they mean.
