Beschreibung:

With the launch of the CZ100 in 1960, Honda created the class of machine known as 'monkey bikes', so called because of their diminutive stature. The power unit was the C100 step-thru's reliable overhead-valve four-stroke single that incorporated a three-speed gearbox with automatic clutch. An ultra-short wheelbase, small wheels and vestigial fuel tank were all features of a machine which, in the case of the folding handlebar version, could fit into the boot of a car. Immensely popular as paddock transport the world over they are currently much in vogue, with a flourishing owners club in the UK. The CZ100 offered here was purchased by the current vendor from a garage owner in Burton-upon-Trent, who had acquired it for his young son. First registered on 10th May 1966, the Honda has been in the current ownership since July of that same year. In July 2012 the Honda was sent for servicing to BDS Motorcycles of North Shields (see invoice on file). Works undertaken then and subsequently include cleaning the fuel tank; stripping and cleaning the fuel tap and carburettor; replacing the fuel pipe; fitting a fuel filter; and replacing the exhaust muffler. Two new tank badges have been fitted (one original is included in the sale). Described as in generally good-to-very good condition, its engine starting readily, this early Honda monkey bike is offered with the aforementioned invoice, VMCC dating application and old/current Swansea V5/V5C documents.
