An exactly contemporary translation into Italian of a letter sent by the new King Henry IV of France, regarding the Battle of Ivry, which was fought on 14 March 1590 during the French Wars of Religion. The Catholic League was resisting the succession of the Huguenot Henry IV to the throne. In this letter Henry writes to the Mayor of Langres, a certain Roussat, giving a detailed account of the Battle, to be shared with the royalists around Langres. By defeating the League's Duc de Mayenne, Henry eventually secured himself the reign.
