(60.5 x 52.7 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Handling creases c.l. and u.r. corner, tear at c.l. just into image, 1/2-inch loss in margin at c.l. edge, scattered subtle surface scratches. In 1984 the Polaroid Foundation invited retired MIT professor György Kepes who had experimented with photography throughout his artistic career, to use the 20x24 Polaroid camera. The resulting carefully staged compositions summarize many of his artistic concerns, employing such objects as prisms, leaves, and graphic papers to manipulate the effects of light and form.
