The present work depicts the stars in the heavens and was inspired by her father's stories, about different celestial constellations and their relationship between us on earth and the stars in the sky. Galumbo Yunupingu uses numerous star-shaped elements free from figurative imagery or cross-hatching. The artist has had Telstra award entries in 2003 and has won a first prize in 2004. She is represented in the Musée du Quai Branly, Paris.
