The thirteen included plates are: I. Title Page Atlantic and Gulf Ports, II. New York, III. Boston, IV. Philadelphia, VI. Savannah, VII. New Orleans, VIII. Chicago, IX. Cleveland, X. Buffalo, XI. Duluth, XII. San Francisco, XIII. Seattle, XIV. Baltimore. Plate V. Hampton Roads is missing. Most of the cities are identified in pencil on the bottom left and signed Louis Orr on the bottom right. All five sets are in matching wood frames with silver highlights and double-matted. Dimensions of the five frames are 24" x 18.5"; 17.5" x 30.5"; 32" x 16"; 34" x 17.5" and 27" x 24.5". Louis Orr (1879-1961) was a Connecticut-born artist who studied at the Academie Julian in Paris in 1906. He later went to Paris at the request of the French government to make etchings of cathedrals that were under bombardment by the Germans in WWI. He has the distinction of being the first American artist to have his works acquired by the Louvre. Condition: Not removed from frames.
