Giovanni Battista Piranesi Vedute di Roma: 76 Plates (H. 1-12, 14-60, 62-78) etchings, 1748-66, from the set of 137, twenty Plates from Hind's edition B2 with the address of 'Bouchard' or 'Bouchard e Gravier' (H. 5, 11, 16, 21, 26-8, 31, 33, 35, 38, 41-4, 46, 49, 52, 54 and 58), the rest from Hind's edition B3 with Piranesi's address and price on those that usually have it, very good, clear impressions with good contrasts, all with watermark double-encircled Fleur-de-Lys (H. 3), with trimmed margins, the usual central fold, H. 2 with a tiny made-up area in the subject, some plates with a few defects at the lower sheet edge only marginally affecting the subject in H. 21 and 74, variable pale foxing and discolouration, a few plates with an additional, old vertical fold, otherwise generally in good condition, tipped onto guards at the central fold on the reverse, in later pigskin-covered boards tooled in blind with title on spine, some scuffing(album) overall S. 524 x 392mm.
