German Collection in Five Volumes Extensive collection of primarily used issues with duplication either mint used on covers or cards. Beginning with Empire issues through 2000, Semi-Postals with a few souvenir sheets from 1936, small selection of se-tenant pairs and later issues in blocks of four, Air Post is rather scattered yet with a couple of Zeppelin issues, the Berlin period has useful mint and used sets as does German Democratic Republic. Highlights include Scott B316, 317 mint and used, B318, 319 used, B327-330 mint and used with other Welfare issues, Air Post including Gelber Hund on small piece, C35-37 used, C39, C44 used, C45 mint and used, Berlin has a mint 9N33 signed by Bloch, 9N61-63 mint hinged, with issues virtually complete through 1985, followed by German Democratic Republic including Scott 80, 81 mint and used, Scott 82-84, used. The remainder of the collection comprises small but useful selections of German States, Occupation, Colonies and Offices, along with interesting Danzig, Saar and a group of local issues. Despite the lack of major values this collection offers a wonderful opportunity to explore and expand this area. Condition overall is very pleasing and commands a Fine to Very Fine grading. F/VF.
