Illustrated by Paul Brown. 9¼x6, red cloth, gilt-stamped vignette on the front covers, spines lettered in gilt, top edges gilt. No. 310 of 750 hand-numbered sets. "The Hitchcock Edition." Each signed by Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jr. (FDR's son) on the front preliminary leaves and a short inscription signed by David Gray to Roosevelt, Jr., in each. Volume I with a 4-line note signed by Roosevelt, Jr.: "Maude Gray was my Mother's Aunt and David Gray was my Father's U.S. Ambassador to Ireland in World War II." Volume I also signed by David Gray on the half-title, plus inscribed and signed by Maude and David Gray "to Alice and Roger." Lot Amendments Condition: Spines a bit faded, other minor wear; near fine. Item number: 164793
