Beschreibung:

all portraying European cathedrals and signed by the artists. Includes an etching of Notre Dame Cathedral beyond the Seine river, signed center left and numbered 139; 13" x 14" (w/frame); plus an etching of a large palace with activity in the town square, signed Paul Geissler, in a contemporary frame; 14" x 16" (w/frame); plus an etching with a cathedral soaring above a town view, signed V. Rohling in a modern, gilt frame; 12" x 14" (w/frame). PLUS an elaborate etching with a bustling city square and another cathedral in the background. Two signs on buildings read Cafe. In a modern frame and signed lower left; 17" x 19" (w/frame). Vladislov Rohling (Czech, 1878-1949) was born in Prague and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in the city. He worked primarily with Prague themes. Provenance: Ex Collection of Jean Rothenberg, Cincinnati, Ohio Condition: All in appropriate modern frames; some light toning at margins.
