Fougasses (Thomas de). The Generall Historie of the Magnificent State of Venice, from the First Foundation thereof untill this Present. Collected out of all Authors, both Ancient and Moderne, that have written of that Subject. English by W. Shute, 1st edition in English, printed by G. Eld, and W. Stansby, 1612, woodcut view of Venice to title-page, numerous woodcut portraits of doges throughout the text, lacking initial blank A1, leaves A2-4 (including title-page) and 5Z4 (final blank) laid down, variable marginal damp-staining, occasional red pencil underlining, repaired marginal tear in 4D2, tissue restoration to lower outer corner of 5D3, a few other marks, contemporary calf, rebacked and relined, arabesque centrepieces gilt to covers, restoration to extremities, folio (32.9 x 21.2 cm) (Qty: 1) ESTC S121332; STC 11207; not in Blackmer or Atabey.
