[The Empire trilogy], 3 vol., first editions, comprising Troubles, signed inscription by the jacket artist Bill Botten "One of my rarer offerings" to front free endpaper, ink inscription to title, slight shelf-lean, spine faded with central crease, minor bumping to corners, jacket spine a little toned, spine ends and corners a little chipped with a few archival tape repairs to verso, damp-staining visible on verso, extremities rubbed, 1970; The Siege of Krishnapur, small ink ownership inscription to front free endpaper, spine darkened, jacket spine lightly toned, closed tear to head of upper panel with short tape repair to verso, spine ends and corners a little chipped, 1973; The Singapore Grip, jacket spine slightly faded, spine ends and corners a little chipped, 1978, original boards, dust-jackets, generally very good or excellent copies, 8vo. ⁂ An excellent set of Farrell's classic trilogy, including the scarce winner of the The Lost Man Booker prize (Troubles) and a shortlisted title for The Best of the Booker (The Siege of Krishnapur).
